Will this scar fade

Hi,

DS cut his eye a little while ago and had a black eye.

I've just noticed he's got a little scar from it. Do you think this will disappear or will it always be there?

Thank you

I have one on my forehead that's about that size, still there 30+ years on.

meepmoop · 28/05/2019 11:01

Ah sounds like it's there to stay then.
Thought we would at least make it until 2 before his first one. I'm sure it won't be his last.

Probably not. My eldest is now 9 & still has a scar on her face from where she tripped & hit the newel post when she was about 18 months old. It’s not really noticeable if you don’t know it’s there though.

DD had one like that on her forehead, it's faded a lot.

DS, who's now 24, had a scar in exactly that spot. At 10 months he decided that trying to climb onto a window sill via a radiator was a good idea, and I wasn't quick enough to stop him catching the edge of the radiator on the way down. I was very upset about it at the time. However, I'm happy to say it faded, quite quickly IIRC, and now he's an adult you wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it.

You could try Kelo-Cote, only need a tiny amount per application. It's worked for me but can take a long time to see an effect.
