Blue badge renewal due ?

Just a quick heads up that if you are (re) applying for your Blue Badge, then depending who is handling it, they will want current proof of PIP Award (which is easy) but also a current statement of the points awarded for "Moving Around" which isn't issued as normal practice.

You need to call the DWP and specifically request it. (You'd discover that mysteriously they know all about it but didn't tell anyone).

So if your badge is due renewal in the next 12 months, you can save a few days by asking for one to be sent out now.

I was awarded a badge last year but get no pip.

I wonder if they'll try to take it away when it expires, I'd be really stuck without it.

If I could get properly diagnosed I'd probably qualify for pip at some level but I've been battling a diagnosis for years now and just keep getting dismissed as you just need to lose weight when I'm not that overweight

It may be in your area, but dc2 qualifies on vision alone in mine, so does my DM in hers.

So DWP sent required form, duly scanned and sent to Northgate. Just had a reply email confirming acceptance and have paid for the new badge.

Compare and contrast with PIP application which doesn't even have an electronic form, let alone website and email access .......
