Moving to Wokingham june 2019

Hi I am moving to Finchampstead Road in Wokingham in June 2019. I dont know anyone in the area so will be starting from scratch. I have a 3 year old daughter starting Wescott primary school in September and I also have a 1 year old son. Are there any good mums groups to join? Would love my daughter to get to know some friends before she starts school. I'm so worried about her starting school anyway but being in a new area and new school is going to be doubly tough...for both of us! Would love to meet some some new mum friends

I live in Wokingham and have just turned 3 year old DS.

Can't comment on the school but in terms of groups, the Wokingham children's centres have free, frequent and well attended groups over the borough which we have regularly been to. Timetables on their website.

There's lots of paid for baby/toddler groups in the area such as Tumble tots, baby sensory.

Carnival pool is good for swimming and there's a number of soft plays such as monkey mates.

Other good places for kids are Lockey Farm, garden centres such as Henry Steet, Wokingham libraries do a free nursery rhyme session, there is a good play park at Finchampstead Baptist Centre and Dinton Pastures and California Country Park are nice. The Lookout in Bracknell is also good with a great play area.

It's a great place to have kids.
