Would you find this annoying?

My son and I play football in our back garden. We use a soft ball, not a proper football. Occasionally (maybe 5 or 6 times a week) the ball will go over the fence into our neighbour's garden. We don't go knocking to ask for the ball back, just wait to see if they throw it back over. If you were my neighbour would you find this situation annoying?

Geez. It wouldn’t bother me if the ball came over the fence, I’d just chuck it back over that’s if my dog doesn’t eat it first, he’s a chewer.
It sounds like you’re doing your best by buying a net goal.
We bought one of them ,they’re great.

BlackCatsRock are you really so dense? It's annoying. Stop enabling

Enabling Grin. Jesus Confused

YANBU
It's your garden, he's not doing anything wrong, he's not using it first thing in the morning or late at night, he's not using it for hours at a time. Your neighbour needs to get a grip.

Cringing at your nc fail 😬

JacquesHammer · 16/06/2019 17:12

It wouldn’t bother me because I wouldn’t notice.

It would irritate me if you came around and knocked for the ball, otherwise I’d just lob it back next time I’m in the garden.

@sagradafamiliar
Name change fail? I wasn't trying to change my name. I posted on this thread instead of the one about a basketball hoop.

And for anyone that's interested - we've got the goal, it's at the other end of the garden and the ball hasn't been in the neighbour's garden since we got it. Just waiting for the neighbour's to come round and say they can't stand the noise of the ball being kicked....

Ok, what a convenient answer to your own OP though 😂

BlackCatsRock · 16/06/2019 17:25

@Sagradafamiliar
What? Do you actually know what you're taking about???

OP posts:
Sagradafamiliar · 16/06/2019 18:14

It's quite clear.

Celeriacacaca · 16/06/2019 18:18

Really annoying for this to happen so frequently.

Our neighbours have started playing cricket with a hard ball in their terraced garden - 5 m wide 10 m long. They have a supply of balls and I am getting two or three over each day. I'm really annoyed as I was nearly hit the other day. I also can't stand the constant banging on my fence when they're playing. They won't stop or go to the park instead as they are inconsiderate fuckers. We live in a built up urban environment, not a home set in parkland and I just think this is very selfish.

I've know idea why you've decided to pick on me. I made a mistake. I decided to update my thread as I was on it. If you don't like it, then jog on.

Your choice to take it in bad spirit and also pretend you don't realise what I meant. Stop responding if you're upset as it's bumping your thread.

BlackCatsRock · 16/06/2019 18:25

@Sagradafamiliar
I don't know what you meant. I'm obviously thick. And yes, I'm annoyed that you've decided to come on this thread and pick on me for no good reason.

Honestly I wouldn't be too bothered about the ball providing it wasn't damaging my things and you didn't keep coming round to ask for it.

It does sound like you are playing a lot of football though. I have a neighbour who shouts and cheers like he was at Wembley when he plays football with his 5 year old in the garden and that really does annoy me. Are you 100% sure it's just the ball and not any exuberant goal celebrations?

Gooseygoosey12345 · 16/06/2019 21:25

Wouldn't bother me. But then my garden is just grass, no decorative flowers or anything. And my own kids are out there, I'd probably see it fairly quickly and chuck it back
