Farrow and Ball Card Room Green or similar

Has anyone used this colour in their house?

We are determined to go bold after years of living in beigey blandness and this really appeals for our bedroom (Victorian house. Nice big bay window).

Would love to hear from you if you have it or similarly bold shade.

We’re going for oval room blue in the front room.

We have oval room blue in our front room too Smile I love it so much!
We have vert de Terre in the dining room (the two rooms are open to each other) which is a lot lighter than card room green and then Hague Blue on the square "arch" between the two rooms. So that is our boldest colour out of all of them and only on a small area because the whole space is quite large. Bold colours suit smaller rooms better really so I am sure it would go really well in what I guess is a typical size Victorian front room.
If you are on Instagram check out F&B account on there, they posted a room in card room green this morning and you can search Instagram for other photos with the colour.

Thanks giveme

Card room green would be for the bedroom. It’s the master so not a small space really. I was going to go for Calke green but it seemed too bright and now I’m worried this is too dark 🤦🏽‍♀️ But I’ve seen it on Pinterest and on the F&B website where they have pictures of it in real rooms and it’s such a gorgeous colour.

Oh yes of course, the bedroom 🤦🏼‍♀️ sorry got confused there! I think the colour is gorgeous and would definitely go for it. Have you got white trim (skirting boards etc?)

We have Hague blue in our living room - it's lovely but marks very easily! Ours is colour matched in to Valspar paint from B&Q

I've used card room green in a bedroom. It's beautiful and I love how it changes at different times of day. It's dark but not oppressive.

I've used a deluxe navy blue in the kitchen which is north facing and never has much light- I decided to stop trying to brighten it up and go with the dark and it's worked brilliantly.

Faffandahalf · 27/05/2019 21:26

Breakfast room green seems too vibrant for the bedroom.
I want it to be cosy and warm but not as poster above says oppressive.
monst3ra do you have a picture by any chance (even though I’ve seen about 40 online already!)?

Also agree with ‘snowone’ we’ve got Vardo in DS room and it does seem to mark easily.

Those shades were both on our shortlist - we ended up with Stiffkey Blue in the living room, James White in the hallway and dining room and Pigeon upstairs. I love Pigeon, it’s very relaxing and works with lots of colours. Stiffkey Blue - I like it a lot but don’t love it as much as I thought I would. It’s a large, south-facing room with high ceilings, but still feels a little darker than I’d like. I’ve picked out bright accessories like cushions and plant pots got contrast, and also got lots of plants to soften the look.

I am loving these greens. I have been trying to find the perfect blue but I might go with green now...

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 27/05/2019 21:54

I’ve just painted my bathroom in card room green, it’s nice and calming. Will be paring it with pale woods, blush accessories and plants.

Faffandahalf · 27/05/2019 22:18

That sounds lovely ginger

I have been wondering about the right colours to go with it. I’m seeing a lot of stripped floorboards with it but we’re having carpet and I wasn’t sure what shade to go with.
Pale wood bedside
Tables sound like they would work though

We have a colour very like card room green - going by google images anyway - in our back room (Victorian terrace house; room is open to hall, kitchen & back yard, so dining room sounds wrong Grin)

Will try to find a couple of images to demonstrate. We’ve had it a few years now & love it.
