Posted a thread of what were treats growing up to you, and it was a really nice thread, got me thinking what foods now can't you buy that you used to love? Here are some of mine..
Milky Bar Chews
Those plastic drinks with the funny lid you twisted of,
Panda pops
Frufoo yogurts
Turkey Twizzlers

Tropical Break cereal. It might have been a Sainsbury's own-brand one. That and a Sainsbury's ready meal that was like shepherds' pie made with chicken tikka.
The original Pears soap in a big thick bar. It doesn't smell as nice as it used to.

mincepiesareyum · 31/05/2019 22:28

Ooooh so many yummy thing! My list is hedgehog crisps, those pig shaped bacon crisps, apple ice lollies in the shape of a frog (anyone remember those?!) and tab clear. I lost many a filling to a highland toffee bar and those different flavoured toffees!

mincepiesareyum · 31/05/2019 22:30

Ooooh and honey roasted peanut butter! Amazing!!!!

funkythighcollector · 31/05/2019 22:59

You can still get Cadbury Top Deck, Dream, Old Jamaica, and Timeout bars in Australia. Though the Cadbury’s there tastes worse, not as creamy or something. Also Ice Magic that someone mentioned. There’s online stores in the UK you can get them from.

If you want Ovaltine bars go to Switzerland! They call them Ovomaltine. I had one recently, so good!

I miss and sometimes dream about Berry Creme eggs that no one I know remembers. Only existed for 2 easters, strawberry runny creme with a blueberry centre for the yolk. Not sure if they had them in the UK.

BillThePony · 31/05/2019 23:11

I used to have what I think was called
Chocolate Crunch pudding it was delicious.

Also when pregnant I was addicted to Asda sweet and sour savoury rice and sweet and sour super noodles. I can find neither of these in the shops now

Cannyhandleit · 31/05/2019 23:27

Vanilla kisses impulse body spray, dewberry body shop spray! I smelled amazing in high school!

LittleKitty1985 · 31/05/2019 23:51

Tesco used to do a packet of mushroom pasta that I loved! The nearest equivalent now has chicken in it (I'm vegetarian). It makes me very sad.

Geraniumpink · 01/06/2019 00:01

You don’t have to go Switzerland to get Ovalmaltine chocolate - you can get it on Amazon.

nicslackey · 01/06/2019 00:04

Texan bars
Mint Cracknel
Amazin' Raisin
Cabana
Icebreaker bar
Bit of a chocolate theme going here!!

Emerald4512 · 01/06/2019 00:13

Maverick bars!

squishee · 01/06/2019 00:13

tinkering you should look for Werther's Original Meltlets. Aldi stock them. They come in chocolate or just heavenly Werther's flavour which is like Caramac but better. OMG they are so good. Also nice melted as a pancake filling.

squishee · 01/06/2019 06:38

Whoops do you mean Entenmann's carrot cake?

namechangechanger · 01/06/2019 06:52

Puffs crisps 😭😭😭😭

StrongleBerry · 01/06/2019 09:17

You're welcome, Fudgecakes. I hope that it smells as good as it used to.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 01/06/2019 10:55

@Fridakahlofan I adored Ben and Jerry's Rainforest Crunch too....noone else has commiserated my loss with me.

FrenchyQ · 01/06/2019 13:12

Spira
Proper Disco's
Roysters T-bone steak
Topdeck shandy
Blue panda pops
Kiora tropical squash, full of additives and colourings but was so tasty!

Think there's a spudulike in Bristol

Also someone mentioned a cheese crisp with gooey cheese in the middle... Think they were called cheese moments, made by the same people as scampi fries

StrongleBerry · 01/06/2019 13:15

Roysters T-Bone steak crisps are still available.

pattyhoo · 01/06/2019 13:29

I really miss some 3d pig-shaped crisps my mum used to get me. They were thin and crunchy and had an orange coating. No idea what they were called!

Also miss the rubbery jelly sweets that came in peel off plastic moulds in strips. M&S did some for Halloween a few years back but they just didn't taste the same!

Muller light yoghurts in peach and maracuja (sp?) flavour- not seen one for years but they used to be everywhere.

I remember Secret bars feeling very grown up and exotic! Grin

Ariela · 01/06/2019 13:38

Spangles - square sweets with a central dimple where it was thinner, you sucked them so a round hole appeared in the square. They came in a tube individually wrapped, they came in different flavours, my absolute fave were the liquorice black one and the treacle yellow one in the Old English pack.
Picture here of some orange and lemon ones: www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/11192028/Seven-lost-British-sweets-we-pray-will-come-back.html

Also Abbey Crunch biscuits. Anytime I smell Old Holborn pipe tobacco, reminds me of many a Saturday I used to pop over to a mate's house to tinker with motorbikes, he had a vast garage under the house and we'd have a cup of tea and Abbey Crunch to dunk, he'd puff gently on his pipe, and we'd put the world to rights.

100percentplease · 01/06/2019 13:49

Just remembered skippys!

anitagreen · 04/06/2019 15:11

Puffa Puffa Rice

LarryGreysonsDoor · 04/06/2019 17:57

Why would they stop making shandy bass?
