Posted a thread of what were treats growing up to you, and it was a really nice thread, got me thinking what foods now can't you buy that you used to love? Here are some of mine..
Milky Bar Chews
Those plastic drinks with the funny lid you twisted of,
Panda pops
Frufoo yogurts
Turkey Twizzlers
Dream Bar

@vampirethriller

You’ve just reminded me about the Vivo make up Tesco used to sell. Their baked bronzer was fantastic.

Coconut flavoured Options sachets. Come BACK!

beanaseireann · 29/05/2019 07:20

M&S did a dark but still milk chocolate bar with dried raspberries.
They also did a bag of sweets with dried fruit covered in chocolate. The strawberry had a white chocolate covering. Absolutely delicious!
Tesco did a cheap and cheerful peanut butter chocolate bar up to 18 months ago- Yummy! Then it disappeared. Sad

Years ago, the Waitrose in-store bakery used to sell these orange cookies. They tasted of golden syrup and had bits of candied orange peel in them... WOW they were delicious.

I'd love that recipe. It was heaven.

@darkriver19886 - cheese fcp can be found in heron foods if you have one near you. I love the searingly hot melted cheese!

Cannyhandleit · 29/05/2019 07:36

Radix original bubble bath

mrsdolittle · 29/05/2019 07:45

Ovaltine chocolate bars. Only around for a short time in the 80's but I loved them

I always rememeber my gran buying me yoghurts when I was young from coop, I was (still am) super fussy and wouldn't eat yogurt with bits in it, this stuff was more like a mousse, I think it was raspberry flavour and it had a picture of a wizard on the pot! I loved those little pots of amazingness but no one else remembers them!

MashedSpud · 29/05/2019 07:58

Nib-bits wheelz. They were maize snacks shaped like an old fashioned wheel of a wagon and came in Mexican spice, onion and vinegar and plain flavours.

Football crazy snacks. Small balls, cheese flavour. Came with a rosette sticker inside with characters on.

Bitsa pizza crisps. Shaped like pizza slices. Came in pizza flavours.

Birds eye potato fritters.

MashedSpud · 29/05/2019 08:12

And Noodle Doodles!

I loved them on toast as a kid.

cheesenpickles · 29/05/2019 08:46

Cartoonies were another one. I've heard they've made a reappearance but have yet to see them.

MyFamilyAndOtherAnimals1 · 29/05/2019 09:04

Lush's 'Grass' shower gel which had; wheatgrass, Neroli and Bergamot oil in it. It was amazing!

Also, the original Dairy Milk recipe before they changed the recipe.

vampirethriller · 29/05/2019 10:05

Lush Gratuitous Violets
Valentino Rock and Rose

Livpool · 29/05/2019 10:29

Armani (I think) remix - it was a lilac plastic bottle and smelled lovely

Grumpiestcat · 29/05/2019 10:34

The old wine gums that were clear and glossy with bumpy bits on the top like little crowns. Harder than the ones today which are just soft and nauseating.

HoldingTheDoor · 29/05/2019 10:40

I've tried Cartoonies since they released them again. They weren't worth it. They barely had any chocolate in them compared to the Cartoonies of old.

HeadlessGummyBears · 29/05/2019 10:53

Iceland’s used to do a three layer ice cream but I forgot what it was called...it used to be dome shaped like in one of those plastic trifle bowls so when you cut a slice, you get three layers of ice cream. Does anyone know what it was called? Blush

HoldingTheDoor · 29/05/2019 10:54

Dairy Milk Tasters.

DesignforLife · 29/05/2019 10:58

@SunshineCake That's interesting - I looked in two branches recently and couldn't find and when I asked a staff member in the second branch she said she's never heard of it. I used to use it all the time in the late 90's/early 2000s when I worked in retail and was on my feet all the time. Recently, I've been doing a lot of running and thought it would be lovely and soothing and cooling for my tired feet.

Limer · 29/05/2019 10:59

Grumpiestcat I remember fruit gums in a tube were like that. They also came in a box, and were shaped like the actual fruits.

M&S Crunchetti and Deltas.

McIntosh's Weekends.

HoldingTheDoor · 29/05/2019 11:01

I was going to say those sound more like Fruit Gums.

HoldingTheDoor · 29/05/2019 11:12

It sounds like them anyway.

HoldingTheDoor · 29/05/2019 11:13

Now I'm craving Fruit Gums and I never particularly liked them because they were so hard.

Titsywoo · 29/05/2019 11:23

Skinny Cow used to do a chocolate ice cream stick that was 99 calories. When I was dieting I had one every night for my ice cream fix. Now they only do the mint choc chip flavour ones :( Stupid flavour.

HasThisSoddingNameGoneToo · 29/05/2019 11:27

I hate it when perfume companies change the smell of their scents. Apparently they're well within their rights to change the recipe and keep the name the same, but it's infuriating.
