Posted a thread of what were treats growing up to you, and it was a really nice thread, got me thinking what foods now can't you buy that you used to love? Here are some of mine..
Milky Bar Chews
Those plastic drinks with the funny lid you twisted of,
Panda pops
Frufoo yogurts
Turkey Twizzlers
Dream Bar

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 28/05/2019 20:28

You can still get Zzap lollies. We had one from an ice cream van last week!
I miss Spiras- if we all bought them, why did they stop?

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 28/05/2019 20:30

And veggie “ chicken” tikka sandwiches at Asda but

looselegs · 28/05/2019 20:30

Banjo bars- wafers with a layer of chopped nuts along the top and covered in chocolate. Yum!!

Comefromaway · 28/05/2019 20:31

Ooh I loved Banjos.

Celticdawn5 · 28/05/2019 20:32

Aztec bars

gotmychocolateimgood · 28/05/2019 20:32

Caramac

Dewberry body shop

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 28/05/2019 20:34

What were those cinnamon cake things you bought in a white box with blue writing? Think they were American. I loved them...sigh

Celticdawn5 · 28/05/2019 20:40

What I miss really is proper Cadbury’s milk chocolate. and a number of other things that were allegedly ‘improved’ such as Rolo’s; I much preferred Rolo’s when the toffee was rock hard and took a while to chew.
They also changed Milky Bars, the filling is much lighter in colour and different.
I miss Mars bars which had really thick layer of chocolate and were a proper size.
Club biscuits are no longer sandwiched biscuits.
In fact the chocolate coating on biscuits in general couldn’t get much thinner
I could go on........

ladymalfoy · 28/05/2019 20:45

Maribou Delight Bars.

ladymalfoy · 28/05/2019 20:46

And Ketchips!

midsomermurderess · 28/05/2019 20:54

I know it is widely you available in supermarkets etc elsewhere, but where I live, none of the supermarkets near me sell Longley Farm Cottage Cheese. I can only get it at Real Foods and that is not at all handy for me.

bananasandwicheseveryday · 28/05/2019 20:56

@ladymalfoy - those are the ones. Delicious. I've also remembered Sweetheart dessert mix. It came in a tin and you whisked it up with milk until it thickened. Sort of similar to Angel Delight, but without the powdery texture.

Starburst8 · 28/05/2019 21:00

@gotmychocolateimgood You can still buy caramac.
I've just finished off a tube of caramac buttons. They don't taste as good as the original caramac bars though

Gorillaandme · 28/05/2019 21:02

I used to live this popcorn I think it was covered in maple syrup and had pecans mixed in. I used to always get it when I went to cinema from the Asda next door I can even picture the packaging but cannot find it even existed anywhere online.

Gorillaandme · 28/05/2019 21:02

*love

lillsmum · 28/05/2019 21:03

Galaxy fruit and nut. I'd give just about anything for a bar.

Starburst8 · 28/05/2019 21:05

Also miss Frufoo. Why can't all yoghurts come with little UFOs?
Taz bars. Freddos aren't the same.
Also liked when walkers did looney tunes printed on the crisps

Barkette · 28/05/2019 21:15

The little potato triangles from Sainsbury's. I really miss those!

SunshineCake · 28/05/2019 21:19

@Designforlife I'm sure you can still get body shop peppermint foot cream.

SunshineCake · 28/05/2019 21:23

When I'm less tired I'm tempted to collate a list for each shop and go on a hunt for everyone Grin.

Yumsnet · 28/05/2019 21:31

Sorry if someone's already said it - but I really miss Doll Noodles.

Heyha · 28/05/2019 22:17

I think it's Tesco's lunch section that has caramacs in the single chocolate bar bit but you can definitely get them still

stayathomer · 28/05/2019 22:21

Romantica - bit like viennetta but round and more awesome
We still have this in Ireland.

Janejeffer I was going to check in the morning, I was thinking 'they took Romantica away?!'

vampirethriller · 28/05/2019 22:56
