Posted a thread of what were treats growing up to you, and it was a really nice thread, got me thinking what foods now can't you buy that you used to love? Here are some of mine..
Milky Bar Chews
Those plastic drinks with the funny lid you twisted of,
Panda pops
Frufoo yogurts

Lidl do a (not terribly similar) version of mignon morcesux. Not quite as thick or garlicky but I somehow managed to demolish a bag last night.

NoYo · 28/05/2019 06:49

Does anyone remember Good n Crunchy crisps (early 80s?) The bacon flavour was my all time favourite. Wish they'd reappear.

Also Meanies crisps - pickled onion flavour, think they were 5p.

For toiletries, I remember the gorgeous smell of red apple vo5 shampoo when I was little. Much nicer than Vosene which always stung my eyes.
Also Nina Ricci Deci Dela perfume. That was one of my favourites.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 28/05/2019 06:49

Marco Pierre White Mumbai Madness soup - was most delicious Indian chick pea and veg soup. I honestly don't think anyone could do it better home made. Sadly discontinued for some reason Sad

Potato triangles- snacks from M&S and Sainsburys

Lumisade · 28/05/2019 06:59

I miss those halcyon days of pre sugar tax Irn Bru and Sprite, they were my treat drinks two or three times a year. Can't buy them anymore because of the artificial sweeteners, they taste awful.

sueelleker · 28/05/2019 07:10

You can still get some of the Vesta meals from Amazon.

Juanbablo · 28/05/2019 07:14

Ben and Jerry's Winterberry Brownie.

Fudgecakes · 28/05/2019 07:37

Loved the lemon Tracker bars - they were limited edition back 2005 when I had dd....scoffed loads out of the hospital vending machine while in the birthing pool!! They were gorgeous....never found them again..it was like they were exclusively available on that day to help me through my labour Grin

LarryGreysonsDoor · 28/05/2019 07:41

Phileas Fogg crisps. Especially the corn chips.

bananasandwicheseveryday · 28/05/2019 07:50

So many things that I miss have already been mentioned. Here are a few more;
Phineas Fogg Shanghai Nuts - roast peanuts with a light, crispy, savoury coating. Have searched high and low but all I can find now have bbq/spicy coating.
Used to be a frozen mousse I bought for my children where the boxes were plastic and you could fit them together to use as building blocks after. My dcs loved those.
Delight /Delite chocolate bar - made by the people who made Dime bars, the inside was like a less gooey milky way but felt cold in your mouth.
Helena Rubinstein used to do a lipstick called Cafe Italien - a lovely deep burgundy olour. Nothing else ever came close.
Bourjois made a mascara where the wand had a motor in it to rotate the brush. Beat coverage ever and the mascara was decent, non clumpy. I still use their mascaras, but I do wish they'd revive that particular one.

sanityisamyth · 28/05/2019 07:57

Tutti fruiti was my favourite

sanityisamyth · 28/05/2019 07:57

On the subject of toiletries, bring back Boots Ice musk.

LarryGreysonsDoor · 28/05/2019 09:26

Fizzy Lizzie bars.
They were a small chewy bar not unlike a Wham. Rather like a bigger refresher chew.

Misslu · 28/05/2019 09:29

Morrisons chocolate oaties... they disappeared about a year ago 😔

Langrish · 28/05/2019 09:31

Big blocks of something called “processed cheese”, behind the counter wrapped in foil circa 1970s. Probably chock full of all sorts of crap and best gone but I was young and carefree then and you just couldn’t beat it melted on toast.

Loyaultemelie · 28/05/2019 09:33

Tesco cappuccino cake (late 90s/00s)was a marble cake and gorgeous, none of today's coffee and walnut offerings come close.

Batchelors pasta n sauce mushroom and wine.

Toffee n Mallow eggs (creme egg sized)

Cadbury fuse.

Fizz bomb sweets

vampirethriller · 28/05/2019 09:47

Talcott2007 · 28/05/2019 10:39

IKEA have recently changed the recipe for their vegetarian sausages - I'm not a vegetarian but have always really disliked meaty sausages in general. The original IKEA ones were clearly made of vegetables - savory kind of soft on the inside and totally delicious but not at all like 'meat' but now they just taste awful - like bad fake meat!

All trips to IKEA without doubt includes with a divorce worthy row with DH and they were the only bloody thing that made the outing tolerable!

Ps. If anyone knows of an alternative brand of vegetarian sausages this are like the original IKEA one's let me know!

FadedRed · 28/05/2019 10:57

@fraumaximoo and @Heyha

A hundred thousand thank yous! 😁 It’ll be a forty mile round trip, so i’ll have to buy at least twenty packets, to justify the fuel, but it will be worth it!

justaweeone · 28/05/2019 11:14

@VaggieMight
