I was admitted to hospital 2 months ago with incredibly painful stomach pain - just above my belly button but all over my abdomen. Fainted at drop in clinic and then blue lighted to hospital with morphine. Pain subsided after about 6 hours but still tender.
Doctors ran an xray of my chest and abdomen, nothing there, ultra sound scan on my gall bladder which seemed empty, found 2 small benign seeming lesions on my liver. No temperature, Blood tests were fine, although I dont know what they were testing for.
They kept me in 3 nights but then discharged me and said to go to gp for further enquiries.

I am still having terrible stabbing pains twice a day in my right hand side. So strong that they take my breath away iyswim.
My right shoulder blade throbs alot, despite me not doing manual labour etc.
I visited my GP last week and the month before but he doesnt seem to think this warrants any further investigation. I really dont feel right. I feel hungover but haven't had a drop of alcohol for 3 months. I feel pain about an hour after eating but bowel movements and wee-ing are normal. Periods regular and normal too. I'm definitely not pregnant.
Can anyone help or advise? I feel like I'm being a nuisance but I dont feel myself at all.

Any chance of pregnancy? Ectopic pregnancy would be my first thought

Sounds exactly like when I had duodinitis caused by helicobacter pylori. Ask for the breath test and possible endoscopy

Noo pregnancy would be a bit of a immaculate conception atm 🙈 thankyou maw with have a little google

This. I felt terrible with stabbing pains in side and the stomach ache. Took ages to find out it was helibacter pylori. Ten days of two types of strong antibiotics and it went away.

Right shoulder pain can be linked to liver problems.

Stuckandsad · 27/05/2019 19:05

warmsunblueskies did you have these results with blood tests or with the bag tests? Suprised no one has mentioned this!

My gp was so dismissive Sad I think because I'm an otherwise healthy 35 year old I'm just being fobbed off

I absolutely second getting tested for 8 pylori. I suffered for nearly a year, six wasted doctors appointments being told that I was just anxious, IBS, and I was fine. Took a change of doctors, who actually listened, tested for h pylori and within a month of being treated I was completely cured.

Right shoulder pain is classic gallbladder. I would ask for a more detailed scan of the area - CT or MRI

Girliefriendlikescake · 27/05/2019 20:31

Appendix? If def not ectopic/gallbladder that would be next thought.

TMI I'm afraid but what are your poos like?
Pale and floating could be gall bladder.
Black/green and very smelly could be bleeding in which case H.Pylori test appropriate which these days is not breath test but stool sample.
