Do you blow on cotton pads?

I saw a glimpse of a beauty video on you tube the other day, and it looked like after she put cleanser on a cotton pad she held it in front of her lips and blew on/through it. I was only half watching and had no sound on so wasn’t really sure what she was doing. Anyway it intrigued me so last night after i put miscellar water on a pad I blew through it and it all sort of bubbled up. Is this a thing? Do you do it? If so what’s the benefit?

I mean, I know it’s not the worlds most exciting question but I am curious!

No! I have never heard of this. What would be the point - to make it diffuse through?

Eh?

I just squish the ball/pad to make sure it’s thoroughly soggy. Does the job, is less pretentious :o

Oh thank you for taking pity on me with my Billy no mates thread 😄 . Well I’m baffled too, I don’t know if bubbly cleanser (possibly saliva infused??) would work better, but I swear it looked like she was doing that! Can’t find the same video to watch again so thought I’d ask mumsnet.

If she put micellar water on the cotton pad blowing into it will bubble it up and create a foam. I've seen it a few times but never tried it. How that helps?

Hope, not how 😳
