Haven't seen this thread yet for bank holiday Monday so thought I'd start one.

Toddler DS didn't get up until 8am Grin so he's currently eating toast and berries while I have a cup of tea. DH was out late last night so he's still in bed.

If the rain stays off I'll take ds in the garden to play this morning. Maybe soft-play this afternoon then we're going to my Mums for an early dinner later.

Having a cup of tea in bed while the baby plays, we were meant to be going to the botanical gardens but the weather is miserable so it's going to be a walk with the dog and then I'm having takeaway later.

Mintypea5 · 27/05/2019 08:33

Sat in Our hotel room in Nice playing cards waiting for transfer to the airport. Lovely weekend but glad to be going home to the kids

Stillterrified · 27/05/2019 08:34

Up at 6am, baby wanted the boob, then had a coffee, sorted out some clothes (she outgrew tiny baby 2 weeks ago and newborn in the last few days so into 0-3 months now), felt a bit sad at saying bye to the tiny clothes but she’s 8 weeks so about time really, the 0-3 month ones are huge on her but newborn is too tight. Boxing up the old ones and putting the new ones in drawers is next.

But she wanted another feed just there so mumsnet while I sort her then will pop her back in the sling and carry on, we both needed a break otherwise would have fed her on the go.

DH still in bed, not sure what we will do this afternoon yet

lucysmam · 27/05/2019 08:35

Just finishing my cup of tea then going to get the girls up.

We're taking a picnic to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. I'm hoping the clouds don't mean rain though! Need to nip a pair of shoes back to the shop on the way as well. I bought the wrong size for dd1 by mistake

Dc are playing playmobil together without arguing at the moment. Later we are going for a walk/scoot along the river. Then back home to do various housework/jobs. Including a little bit of planting seeds and repotting some plants.

cliffdiver · 27/05/2019 08:45

We've just had breakfast and now I'm enjoying a cup of tea on the sofa with the kitten whilst DDs tidy make a bigger mess the playroom.

We're off to a hotel later and Legoland tomorrow, so the rest of the morning will be packing. Setting off after lunch.

loie · 27/05/2019 08:52

Boring day.
Washing, shopping, cleaning. All the stuff that should've been done over the weekend!
Maybe a trip to the park but doesn't look like the rain is going to hold off.

DH has gone to get us breakfast as we have nothing in the house and later we're off to a local theme park for a few hours while the weather's not too bad. Need to fit in a food shop at some point today too.

Decormad38 · 27/05/2019 09:01

Got up and showered. Fed the rabbits and cat. Sitting in bed whilst dh sleeps. Feeling poorly with a cold. Wanted to do a walk but will walk to local shops soon ish and treat myself to posh breakfast. Later empty dining room and stripping wallpaper.

ooohhhhcrap · 27/05/2019 09:10

Been awake for half an hour.
Sat in garden with coffee and dogs.

Lovely here today 🌞

Going back to bed for half an hour with tv and coffee and then the last load of washing needs hanging out before parents are coming over for coffee and then a nice walk this afternoon and a picnic with dsis and dogs and kids

UsernameTaken76 · 27/05/2019 09:26

Drinking coffee with DH. We’ve just meal planned out to do the food shop shortly. Then to make lunches for work tomorrow.

Off to my Dads later for the football then dinner, shower and mentally prepare to go back to work after the long weekend.

DC are up and dressed. DS1 is playing on his tablet, DS2 is watching Peppa pig. DH is up and dressed, doing some matched betting. I'm about to have a shower. Got to change beds today, do a bit of cleaning/tidying, off out to do the food shop this morning and then cinema later to see detective pikachu - it will be DS2's first trip to the cinema ever! I'm off tomorrow as well, so glad it will be a three day week for me!

kaytee87 · 27/05/2019 20:06

We ended up having quite a nice day. Garden this morning for an hour, park this afternoon for an hour then dinner at mums house.
Both DS and DH are in bed and I'm going to read for an hour before I have an early night too.

@MillieMoodle how was the cinema? We took ds for the first time yesterday and it went quite well, good to know we have another rainy day option now.

@Mintypea5 very jealous of Nice! How was the weather?

@vampirethriller are you in Glasgow? I love the botanics here, one of our favourite places to visit if we're in the west end.

Spent the day relaxing at home whilst the DC amused themselves. Watched some tennis. Had a nap. Busy few days coming up so nice to relax at home.

MillieMoodle · 27/05/2019 21:24

@kaytee87 the cinema was a non-event Sad we use the free tickets we earn through our life insurance (by getting a certain number of steps each week), only DH didn't get enough steps over the last two weeks, so we only had one free ticket instead of 4. So he took DS1 and I stayed at home with DS2. Money's a bit tight at the moment and we couldn't justify spending £35 for me and DS2 to go as well. Gutted as I really wanted to see Pikachu and DS1 was my excuse!

kaytee87 · 27/05/2019 21:30

@MillieMoodle oh that's a shame. That life insurance sounds great though, ours just whips money out of our account each month Grin
I hadn't been to the cinema in ages and couldn't believe it was £23.5 for the 3 of us actually. I was glad he sat and watched it or I'd have been annoyed.

On way home from work.

Didn't stop to get wine as thought I wouldn't have time, but it turns out I did. Grr.
