At 4 1/2 weeks pregnant I had a very faint positive hpt then a couple days later I had very heavy bleeding for four days! I previously had a miscarriage the month before at 4 1/2 weeks. My hpt were negative shortly after so I knew I had miscarried. This time I am now at what would be 6 weeks and I am getting a very dark positive! Is it possible I didn't miscarry this time?! Even though I had very heavy bleeding for four days? Why are my tests getting darker? I plan on making a doctor appointment this week. The not knowing is killing me!

My 'heavy bleeding at 4 weeks' is now 16 and doing the washing up.

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 27/05/2019 01:34

Mine turned six today (yesterday). He’s never done the washing up though.

Mine's 13 but also doesn't wash up. I have known people also have this and have twins. My bleeding went to week 13 and once was so bad had to chuck PJ bottoms out at 12 weeks. Hope everything is OK.

I had a heavy bleed when I was about 8 weeks. I’d already had my pregnancy confirmed and was certainl I’d miscarried again, I contacted the doctors and was told to “rest” until it stopped. A visit from a health visitor for my elder daughter and a little chat with her meant I felt slightly more confident, I totally relaxed when I had a scan about four weeks later.
That baby is now 27 and I’m taking her and the grandchildren to Disneyland next week. Please try not to panic, it will all work out in the end xxx best of luck with your pregnancy and your baby.

I had heavy bleeding i thought was a period with one of my pregnancies. It was an implantation bleed according to the dating scan. The result is currently watching Thomas and Friends.

I had a heavy/red bleeding (for a few days) when I was around 6/7 weeks. I had already had an earlier scan to confirm pregnancy following a miscarriage three months earlier, so was beyond upset. When I continued to get positive tests I went to the booking in appointment with the midwife, and she arranged for another epsu scan (was around 10 weeks) and there he was! They couldn't see any reason for the bleed, my littlest treasure is now 4.

Yes, I had this. He is now 13 and a giant.

I didn't know I was pregnant (fortunately) when I had the heaviest, yuckiest 'period' of my life. I think I might have miscarried a non identical twin very early on but that is pure conjecture. I then pregnany tested a month after that and, to my surprise, found I was expecting. Bit worried because had drunk like a fish over the millenium and had had two periods. He's six foot and alternates between lovely, huggy teen and grumpy teen!

This happened to my mother. My brother is now 45....
I think the general rule of thumb is that positive hpt = pregnant so congratulations! Maybe best to book in with an early scan to make sure of dates.....

Mine was found during the pre d&c scan when I’d been bleeding for over a week, now 16 and about to bankrupt me for a prom dress.
