Best way to get candle smoke off the wall?

I never even thought about it before but my Jo Malone addiction has left a soot stain on my painted walls. Is there an easy way to take it off or do i need to buy something?

I’d try gently with a damp cloth and some cif. Wipe with a clean cloth after.

Jo Malone candles are very badly wicked. Next time you light one, trim the Wick to 3mm before you light it and trim again in between each burn. To extinguish the flame, dip the wick into the melted wax rather than blow the flame out. No smoke guaranteed. (I'm a candle maker)

I actually found the Diptyque much worse. It was a gift smells divine but the smoke is black gets everywhere.
