I need a

Space underneath (so not divan)
White wood
No headboard (have one I want to put on myself)
Can deliver to Denmark

This is the impossible task!

Asking the obvious question - buy one in Denmark?

13yearsago · 26/05/2019 21:10

Sadly not, needs to be ordered online

Speak to IKEA? Would Sweden and Denmark have similar sizes?

Why can’t it be ordered from an online store based in Denmark? Again, asking the obvious but bit a confused.

What do you mean by Danish size bed? Are you talking about needing a mattress or a bedframe? Can you give measurements in cm?

Bananalanacake · 27/05/2019 11:51

have you tried a shop called Danisches Bettlaker. popular in Germany where I live near the Danish border.

foxyfemke · 27/05/2019 11:54

Well, what are the actual measurements of the bed you need?

13yearsago · 27/05/2019 14:01

160x200

Problem is delivery to Denmark mainly but also struggling to find a white wood bed without headboard! Would also look for a fabric platform bed but its super tricky to find!

GetLaidBeds have one and seem to cover all bases but they have pretty poor reviews when it comes o delivery

Get one with a headboard, remove it and replace it with the one you want?

banivani · 27/05/2019 14:13

If you want delivery to Denmark it's probably easiest to look at Danish shops. 160x200 is a standard measurement for mattresses but not always easy to find bedframes to match. Ikea do have them.

Fabric platform beds aren't really a thing in Scandinavia. We do a lot of box springs with legs and then headboards.

I haven't seen anything without at least a small headboard, but with some ingenuity I'm sure you can hack that so it's lower/remove it.

Also haven't seen white wood, just mdf.

Damntheman · 27/05/2019 14:14

I'm genuinely confused as to why it must be ordered online.

Maybe OP is buying from the UK for an elderly relative in Denmark or some such thing?
