Does anyone have Pigment Dispersion Syndrome?

I’ve found out I do; it’s been quite a shock. Wondering if I need to stop my running and all kinds of high-impact exercise?

I would never have thought in a million years that this kind of thing could exist.

Has it lead to more frequent eye checks to keep on eye on it (so to speak)?

I don’t but DB does. Yes he has annual eye checks (free, cos it’s necessary), and also had some laser surgery after a while. All under control now and he’s v active and sporty, mountain biking etc. Day to day it’s no bother.

My children and I get checked annually too as there is some genetic component. So far we are unaffected. AFAIK if it’s discovered early it’s no problem and just needs managing.

Thanks Sheila. Good to know he’s able to keep up with activities. How does he manage to get the eye tests for free?

PDS is a glaucoma related condition and most high st opticians that do NHS tests, do it free, AFAIK.
