Pissed up teenagers nextdoor

Nextdoor 16 year olds having a drunken party. In the garden playing music and "singing" shrieking very loudly. Obviously it's only 9.30pm and I'm not totally unreasonable, but, my question is, what time would it be reasonable for me to go round in my pyjamas rock n roll Saturday night to ask them politely to keep it down a bit or take it inside?

DC are trying to sleep and finding it tricky even with all windows closed and on other side of the house. They really are being very loud!

As it’s a Sat, I wouldn’t go round until 11. Hopefully they will listen to you - are the parents around?

BillywilliamV · 25/05/2019 21:46

I think it will probably stop at 11, are your neighbors responsible parents?

Passthecherrycoke · 25/05/2019 21:46

Eeek i agree, 11 I’m afraid

Haven't seen any parents since this afternoon. Don't actually know them as there seem to be regular changes to the tenants and they're actually round the corner in the next road, but side on to our driveway iyswim.

Will see how it goes until 11 Sad

It's raining where I am, Lincolnshire- maybe if it hurry's up and gets to you, your problem will be over.

I had this last year and Mumsnet flamed me for being uptight.

There is nothing worse than being next door to an outdoor teenage party. It's not just chatter and music - it's crap deafening music, screeching and shouting, glass smashing. It sets your nerves on edge.
