Apple watch

I’m thinking of buying an Apple Watch, GPS one not cellular, and was wondering what it’s like for making and answering calls?

Any other thoughts on whether they’re worth it as well?

I never use it for calls or messages.

I use it as a fancier Fitbit.

Pretty pointless in my opinion other than an expensive fitness tracker

Brilliant, love mine.

My DS had one, be sold it because he found it pretty pointless.

I love mine and wear it religiously. It’s good for working out and also making calls/listening to music

Have used mine as a phone when handbag and mobile are tucked out of reach in the car (as a passenger - if I was driving I’d have programmed the Bluetooth) also a couple of other timeshen phone has rung and I’ve been away from bag so would have missed the call answering it. Call quality pretty good and didn’t have any issues. Also use it for messenger sometimes but it’s not got the easiest ‘write’ pad on the screen

I use mine for making and receiving calls, call quality is ok for quick calls but wouldn't want to be taking long calls on it. Texting is a bit of a pain as it's voice to text and not very accurate!

I don't often take calls on it, but I often don't take calls on my phone full stop 😂, messages I read, and sometimes use microphone to reply, but usually easier to use phone.

But I love it as an exercise motivator and tracker. Mine is via my Vitality work health insurance, and as long as I continue doing my normal exercise, I will have only had to pay a £60 deposit for it (2 year contract).

I like mine to quickly see messages and be alerted to calls without getting my phone out and when phone is on silent which mine nearly always is, also checking my diary, the weather and the fitness measures.
When I’m in my car using maps satnav it buzzes on my wrist for turnings. You can get different straps too. Happy with mine, I’ve just got the basic one secondhand from eBay and the battery lasts all day. It does have to be fairly near your phone to work though so if you wander a distance away from your bag eg at work, it loses connectivity and that also drains the battery.
