Do coke bottles cut your hands?

I’m a Diet Pepsi girl (controversial I know!) but will have diet coke as a last resort.

EVERY SINGLE TIME I buy the 500ml bottles since they changed the lid to the slightly shallower ones, I cut my hands. Not so much that they bleed but a little layer of skin lifts up.

Surely opening a bottle of juice shouldn’t do this? I did email them once and they asked me to send the bottle as if it was just one faulty bottle but it’s every time and I always forget till I get one then am Angry

Do you mean when you twist the lid off? I've noticed some milk bottles really hurt my fingers. Not to the point of cutting them though. I often wonder how elderly people get on with these things.

Never noticed with drinks bottles, but I have a similar issue with the flip-up lid on a particular brand of shampoo.

Yes when I’m taking the lid off.

Elderly people have special devices for bottles I think. I should get myself one for when I accidentally buy coke!

I drink a lot of Coke and hate the new lids. I contacted them after cutting my hand. The ridges on them are really sharp.

What did they say?

It makes me so angry every time. Why should I pay £1 for the pleasure of cutting my hand?

They just sent me a £5 voucher and apologised. The old lids were perfectly fine. I usually use a tea towel to open them if I am at home now.

Yes, they slice into the palm of my hand. I usually drink out of cans so I always forget and hurt myself on the lid when I buy a bottle.
