Been looking for shells on the shore with the dc today & they found this. Have no clue what it is, any ideas? Have looked online but still non the wiser!

Looks like a pelvis! How big is it? That will narrow down what it's from.

It's 12 cms across quite heavy, off to weigh it!

I agree it definitely looks like a segment of spine of something very big.

What ever it is must have washed up! where we were isn't a beach or anything but just the shore with clay & rocks & a tiny patch of sand/shells/pottery. Its to the side of a road, a patch of grass then the shore.

Vertebrae of something massive. A cow or deer would not have a spinal canal that wide - it looks like you could stick your arm in there.

I've Just measure the hole and it's 5cms.
Also found a rock with a fossil on both sides!
