What are you doing this bank holiday weekend?

Today we are going shopping for DD's birthday presents. Then food shopping and tonight I'm going out for a meal and drinks with my friends.

Sunday, probably go for a walk with the dog and kids. Cook a roast and relax for the evening.

Monday it's DD's birthday so will take her out somewhere and then have a tea party in the evening with family. And watch her blow out her candles 🎂

What's your plans?

Lots of sleep! Side effects of medication (immunosuppressants) have kept me up a bit recently so I'll be catching up on sleep, after today's pokémon go event (which lasts three hours Sad)

That sounds like a perfect weekend. I am getting my nails done later and we are going to a NT event tomorrow

Hope DD has a lovely birthday.

It’s a busy one for us. Been up early having a bank holiday clear out/tidy up. Have changed the sofa covers & washed them then built new storage for the spare room which we’ve filled and put a chair up for sale. Later I’m having my nails done while DH gets his hair cut beige watching the rugby and then off to the ballet with PIL.

Tomorrow we are meeting friends and their toddler for brunch before coming back to crack on with sorting out the garden. As long as it’s not raining. Planning a good roast as a reward.

Monday it’s the play off final so family get together to watch that at my Dads as his team is playing.

Today I am also shopping for birthday presents for Dd and ds.
Dh will do the food shop. Tonight will be family games night as usual.
Tomorrow dh and I are going to see Take That in concert.
Monday, we are meeting friends and their dc for a picnic.

Recovering from a slight hangover and cleaning, then packing for our holiday tomorrow.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 25/05/2019 09:07

We don't have a bank holiday here, so no long weekend, but I've just spent an exciting hour collecting aphids from our tomatoe and chili plants (to be repeated twice a day all summer).
DS is reading
DD is still revising - I can hear her mumbling something Russian about St. Petersburg.
I'll do some cleaning, have a FL course going and I'll need to check pdf files for readability while listening to a new book.

Bed shopping for Dd as she is too big for her toddler bed. Then an epic house tidy on Sunday. Camel races and the local fair on Monday. Maybe a BBQ or two if it stays dry.

Day drinking today for the football!
Hangover tomorrow.

Son is at rowing now and I’ll walk the dogs before collecting him. Then he’ll probably spend the afternoon with his girlfriend or maybe asleep as he was out late last night and I had to drag him out of bed this morning! He’s under strict orders to clean his room or else no festival ticket money! Tomorrow he has first full shift at work. He’s in the middle of GCSEs so is pretty tired overall.
My 14 year old daughter will be in bed til 11ish then will spend the day doing art as she’s just had a new set of pens. Might convince her to go for a swim later. Tomorrow repeat.
Monday depends on weather maybe a film. As teens they tend to do their own thing but I like to do one thing as a family.
I’m just looking forward to a week not stressing about GCSEs!

Very little, as last bank holiday weekend we went for a walk in the countryside and I managed to break my ankle clambering over some rocks and am hopping around on crutches!
Taxi-ing DS(9) to football today (DH at work) then going to see Detective Pikachu on Monday - presumably DH & DS will do something outdoorsy/active on Sunday whilst I stay at home watching yet another film, or reading or something.

Working tonight and tomorrow night :(
DH has been to parkrun this morning and I think he is planning to go out and do another of his hobbies this afternoon.
DC have spent the morning in front of the tv and haven't even got dressed yet, which isn't ideal.
I hope to fit in a nap later before work.
DC are going to my in-laws tomorrow and back on Monday so at least they will get to do something fun there, because we have literally no money (not actually sure how I will pay buses to get to and from work) until pay day in the middle of next week.
