What else might I like?

I like My Favourite Murder too but deary me the episodes are getting increasingly long and meandering!

I'm quite new to running and I want something gripping that will make me want to keep going to hear the rest of the story.

In the Dark is great, especially season 1. Dr Death is reasonably good.

Readysetcake · 25/05/2019 08:57

The teachers pet (Australian) was brilliant.

Torrennce · 25/05/2019 08:59

Casefile is one of the best true crime podcasts out there

The BBC World Service have some good ones: the Waco one is really interesting and I absolutely loved Death in Ice Valley.

Spaghettio · 25/05/2019 09:12

I've recently discovered Swindled which is ok. For light entertainment I've started listening to Mayo and Kermode's film show - it's lighthearted and fun - and makes a change from all the death and murder on my other ones!

Spaghettio · 25/05/2019 09:12

Also This Is Criminal is good too.

flugelhorn81 · 25/05/2019 10:38

Ooh this is my kind of thread. You could try Trace or Unravel. In the Dark is also good, as a PP suggests. I like the kind where you follow one case through the whole series rather than each episode focusing on a different case. Following with interest!

CigarsofthePharoahs · 25/05/2019 12:04

They Walk Among Us is the best true crime podcast I've found.
Someone on this forum recommend Behind The Bastards, which is also excellent.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 25/05/2019 12:05

@flugelhorn81 Try Atlanta Monster. Two series dealing with one big case each series. Very well produced.

RamonaQuimbyAge8 · 25/05/2019 12:19

I've enjoyed Something Was Wrong recently.

RainbowWaffles · 25/05/2019 12:20

Breakdown is along those lines and very good.

notacooldad · 25/05/2019 12:23

Casefile is my favourite but I'm currently up to date.
I'm also listening to Southern Fried True crime and Nordic true crime.

BorderlineExperimental · 25/05/2019 12:35

Another vote for Casefile. I also quite like Unresolved, The Trail Went Cold, Already Gone and The Vanished. The two series of Missing and Murdered (‘Who Killed Alberta Williams?’ and ‘Finding Cleo’) are great if you want something a bit longer.

For something a bit less murdery, Unexplained is excellent.

BuffyTheMLMHunter · 25/05/2019 12:37

Lore

CalamityJune · 25/05/2019 18:26

Thanks, some really good suggestions!

I also like the ones that follow one story in depth. I try to save them just for exercising so it motivates me to go and do it!

@BorderlineExperimental Murdery is quite fine by me Grin

CoffeeToffeeFudge · 25/05/2019 18:36

Someone Knows Something. Five series so far, all following a different story.

kmammamalto · 25/05/2019 18:39

Serial killers is good and I like the vanished as there is new one every week! I fall asleep to them so struggle with the ones that tell a story over time.
I'm here for the suggestions too! Great thread OP!

redexpat · 25/05/2019 18:41

Who killed elsie frost from bbc r4.

BobbyBrewstersMagicTorch · 25/05/2019 18:43

Nothing like Serial, or S-Town but have you listened to My Dad Wrote a Porno? Without a doubt the funniest thing ever.

TheSlice · 25/05/2019 18:46

The Drop Out is really interesting and a bit different from all the crime ones. Who the hell is Hamish is good too.

This American Life. I think it's made by S Town folk.
Dirty John.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 25/05/2019 18:55

Love This American Life, Teacher's Pet, Dad Wrote, Behind the Bastards and Death in Ice Valley mentioned above. The Moth is also really good, people telling stories from their lives, and RadioLab, which was sold to me as This American Life with science Smile

LikeSilver · 25/05/2019 20:38

Cold
Up and Vanished (you’d be fine just to listen to the episodes, the Q&As and Case Evidences get a bit repetitive)
