Guardian reporting children removed from home, two died and four injured? Heartbreaking. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/may/24/children-hospital-serious-incident-sheffield

I don't understand (& the link isn't clicky).

What happened?

Cardiffclare · 25/05/2019 06:36

I’m not sure, I don’t understand either.

Two adults have been arrested and police aren't looking for anybody else so I think it's fairly clear what the police think Sad

Cardiffclare · 25/05/2019 06:44

Heartbreaking, they say a seven month baby was removed and is in hospital, two adults arrested.

I hope they get forty years.

Sirzy · 25/05/2019 07:18

Tragic. Seems the older two children have been killed and the younger injured, those poor children are going to be scarred for life by whatever has happened.

fireman that will disappoint a few on here who relish in others misfortune.

floraloctopus · 25/05/2019 14:54

It’s quite possible it was carbon monoxide poisoning as the older boys

It's awful whatever happened to them.

coconuttelegraph · 25/05/2019 15:08

It's a terrible situation but the way I read it it's not carbon monoxide, arrest for murder suggests something deliberate by the parents

tangledyarn · 25/05/2019 15:24

Its definitely not accidental. But theres a media ban of sharing of the children's details for obvious reasons so you might want to get the initials removed from the post.

ReapersHowler · 25/05/2019 15:51

"A friend, who did not wish to be named, said the children’s mother had said the previous day that it would be a “long night” as the children were ill.

The friend said: “She said the kids weren’t well and they could not keep off the toilet. The mum’s lovely and raised money for charities.”"

I don't think anyone should be speculating on what has happened. 2 Children lost their lives and their futures and that's the only fact we know.

Frokni · 25/05/2019 16:15

Really upsetting. Just hope the children get justice and the parents rot in prison if they purposefully harmed their kids!

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 25/05/2019 16:19

Hello folks. Can we ask you not to post anything which could potentially identify those involved and to avoid speculation as this is a current police investigation?

Thank you.
