Itchy head from dry shampoo?

I've used dry shampoo twice a week for the last 5 years or so. Over the last few weeks I've developed a horribly itchy lumpy scalp. Its definitely not nits (if only it were) I haven't used the dry shampoo since but hadn't thought of it as a cause until chatting to a friend last week. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and what can I do to relieve it?

Yes I had the same issue. GP gave me a shampoo for fungal infection which cleared it up - you might be able to get something from a pharmacist?

Someone else mentioned this. You will have to stop using it. Then get a fine nit comb and start combing. There is a special shampoo that helps. Someone else will be along to tell you.

Thank you. I'm self medicating with Nizoral at the moment but although the initial painful raging itch has subsidised it is still not great. How long did it take to clear? Can you remember what you used?

just I'm not using it any more. Good old Google suggests using cocoa powder as a natural dry shampoo. I'm not going to try that until I'm clear though.
