Does anyone know Tenby beaches well...

My parents holidayed and honeymooned in Tenby from the early to late 1960s. They have both passed away and I'd like to visit but I know that Tenby has 3 main beaches.
If you know the area well please would you take a look at the 5 photos attached and let me know which beach they're on? I'd be really grateful.

I think the one of the man sitting in suit on the beach looks like Broadhaven Beach Bosherton. We went to tenby last year. I think the wooden beams are along by the tenby town sea front. But not sure about the last one.

NicoAndTheNiners · 24/05/2019 11:29

I used to live in Tenby, not sure they're all Tenby beaches at all.

The one with your dad sat down I think could be Manorbier.

I also recognise the one with your dad standing up, desperately trying to remember the name of it!

The one where your dad is standing might be round the St Govan's area?

MummyKnowsAll · 24/05/2019 11:56

Thank you, have googled these suggestions and they look likely Smile

It's possible the first one might be Amroth beach.

PinkOboe · 24/05/2019 14:01

Not Bosherston, no Church Rock

PinkOboe · 24/05/2019 14:04

Although the one of him is shorts may well be one of the coves along from Broadhaven South. As Nico says towards st Govans

PurpleCrazyHorse · 24/05/2019 14:04

I'm not sure they're Tenby beaches either but definitely book a visit and explore the local beaches, they're a real treasure. Some to consider visiting are... caldey island, broad haven, wiseman's bridge, barafundle bay, Norton haven.

Good luck finding the beaches, the photos are lovely.

PinkOboe · 24/05/2019 14:06

There’s a campsite called Trafalen Farm which has access to a little cove that looks very like that one, I’ll dig out my pics when I’m home from work to see if they match

MyNameIsCharlesII · 24/05/2019 14:08

Could the 2nd pic be Angle?

MyNameIsCharlesII · 24/05/2019 14:09

The last one looks like Manorbier.

MyNameIsCharlesII · 24/05/2019 14:10

They’re all gorgeous beaches anyway op so book a hol in Pembrokeshire and visit them all! You’ll never want to holiday anywhere else in the uk afterwards trust me. Bloody love Pembrokeshire.

Dad is sitting next to Broad Haven beach (not Broad Haven Bosherston but the other Broad Haven, just south of Newgale) - can tell by the stream that runs through the beach and the shape of the cliffs - here's a pic I found online of the same beach.

The first pic looks like it could be South Beach in Tenby - I don't recognise the wooden structure but it could be where the new development of flats and a restaurant is. The dunes in the background make me think this.

rodentforce · 24/05/2019 20:51

I agree with PP that Dad walking up the cliff looks like St Govan's. The others - I'm not sure! Could they have walked the cliff path? It's a beautiful walk around the coast of Pembrokeshire and would take in many beaches.

rodentforce · 24/05/2019 20:56

Actually ... I'm not sure sure It's Broad Haven as i said above. I think the PP could be right about Manorbier. You could have a fun holiday looking around for the right beach though, and if you show the photos to some locals they will be glad to help you find them!

WatchingTheWheels85 · 24/05/2019 21:35

Ooh I think @rodentforce could be right about that one definitely looks like broad haven which is my side of the bridge, the one by little haven.

MummyKnowsAll · 24/05/2019 23:41

Thank you everyone. It's not Manorbier as I went there today to look and the shape of the rock cliff in the background is much steeper and more rounded.
Got a few to explore! Thank you

Have fun exploring.

rodentforce · 25/05/2019 08:28

Keep us updated OP! What a lovely adventure to follow where your parents went on honeymoon, and I am enjoying this vicarious trip to Pembrokeshire!

WhiteDust · 25/05/2019 08:58

Bosherston Broad Haven beach as someone said upthread (there are two Broad havens).

Your Dad is closer to the edge so only one point in the rocks is in your photo.

AnnaFiveTowns · 25/05/2019 09:01

Could the one where your dad is sitting down be Monkstone beach? You get to it by going to Trevayne campsite and walking down the path. You can then walk round to sayndersfoot when the tide is out.

AnnaFiveTowns · 25/05/2019 09:02

*Saundersfoot
