Food stuck in wisdom extraction site?!

BreakfastAtLitanies · 24/05/2019 04:56

Finally had my wisdom teeth out - but I have a piece of spaghetti now caught in the hole! It definitely is food and it isn't budging with salt rinses.

What can I do?! I'm worried it will get infected or prevent the hole from healing.

I had a similar situation with an extraction site. I really carefully used some thin tweezers to dislodge the food. I did a salt rinse before and afterwards and made sure the tweezers were super clean.

My extraction site wasn't right at the back though. I'd say that if you can get to it easily, it's probably worth phoning the dentist and asking them to help!

That should say...If you can't get to it easily!

I got a seed stuck in my molar extraction site. Went to the dentist. Took about 3 seconds for them to get it out.

Use a syringe (without a needle obviously!), put water on it and use it to flush Smile

Went to dentist and he took the spaghetti out Grin said they were healing fine and I didn't really need to go but was right to check! Thank you all for the advice!
