DD can't breathe!!

My DD is 11 weeks old, ever since she was about a week or two old she's been so nose congested and bunged up. It keeps her up on a night because she really struggles to breathe. Iv tried saline drops, a nasal aspirator, her cribs on an angle so she's not flat on her back. Dr said she will grow out of it but she's really struggling. What else can I do?

Is she FF? Not a judgement, just wondering if she has a cow’s milk allergy?

Have you tried a humidifier? My son suffered horribly with viral wheeze and childhood asthma, but this really helped. Vicks do one, they're not that expensive and you can get them from Argos/amazon etc

Have you thoroughly checked the room for any damp or mould?

How long ago did you see the doctor? I think I'd go back and say she's still struggling, can they make any suggestions.

I had one like this.

I found that sleeping downstairs on the sofa bed was a slight improvement, which I think was down to a different humidity (so dehumidifier suggestions above may help).

Other than that, I basically slept propped up with baby on my chest for quite a while. I know its not good from a safe sleep point of view so I'm certainly not recommending it. I did it out of desperation really as a snuffling, gasping baby that can't sleep because it can't breathe is impossible! Actually, sleeping on tummy also helped, but again not recommendable (possibly with one of those mattresses with an alarm though, I don't know?).

Mine did grow put of it, quite suddenly if I remember correctly, and went on to be a very good sleeper - so there is hope! Those tiny nasal passages reach a point where they've grown large enough to cope with a bit of snuffliness without closing up.
