Argh!! I just realised that I put a tick in the box! I'm meant to put a cross right?

I was distracted!!!!

Have I lost my vote? 🙈😫

No, as long as it's clearly marked what you're voting for it'll be counted. This is from last year but still applies:

I think you'll be OK as it will be clear what you wanted?

Hwory · 23/05/2019 22:17

I just got home from my shift at the poll station. Cross, ticks.. whatever in the box as long as they’re in the box and you haven’t spoilt it in any other way will be counted.

Phalarope · 23/05/2019 22:18

No, it’s fine. Anything considered a deliberate mark for that candidate counts. Memorably someone drew a penis, presumably as a protest, and it was deemed to count as it was in the box Grin

MombieMumbles · 23/05/2019 22:19

While a cross is usually called for, you could theoretically mark the box with a tick instead. The important thing is that your voting intention is clear.

AutumnCrow · 23/05/2019 22:21

Yeah it's fine

daffydowndilys · 23/05/2019 22:22

Oh good!
Thanks

Arf at drawing a penis!!! They are all a bunch of dicks in my eyes 🍆🍆🍆😂

I did that in the 2010 GE, I was sleep deprived from dc1. Realised what I’d done as soon as I put it in the box. I asked the man at the desk & he said it would be fine as it was a clear mark in only one box.
