Something is obviously going on, yet the just say the bill is delayed until early June. I thought that was the original plan anyway!

There are incredibly strict criminal laws about what can be broadcast today because of the election, hence the truncation of the news. After 10pm the embargo is lifted.

Is this some conspiracy about the BBC being secret remainders/Brexiteers (delete as appropriate)?

No I just mean all the stuff about May and the pressure on her to resign. They're finally reporting that she's ready to announce her departure. Bit non news really I suppose.
