Do you wear knickers under your pjs?

Clean pair or the ones you've had on that day? And how often do you change your pjs?
My sister thinks I am very odd for not wearing knickers under my pjs but I think bits need airing!

@HerondaleDucks only if you're WHAT? I think that's the worst thing I've ever heard a period be called ever.

Can not do commando... fresh knickers when home from work and into my pjs. Change my pjs evety couple of days. I’m not a sweaty person so works for me

I often don’t wear knickers under cup clothes let alone in bed. They’re horrid. New pyjamas nightly obviously.

I never wear underwear under lounge wear or PJs and I sleep naked.

Am seriously shocked people wear knickers in bed. Literally had no idea this is a thing!!
Slim leg cuffed ankle cotton pj for me, dead comfy and don’t tangle. Clean pair every night.

I wear knickers and a top.
New knickers every morning, then when I change to my pjs for the evening and then another new pair for sleeping in.
And I blame the kids for the laundry.

Sleep naked. I only wear knickers with short dresses or skirts. Don't tend to wear trousers but if so, would be commando. I can't stand the feeling of knickers under trousers of any kind, but can't explain why.

Never have I slept without knickers and t shirt under my pjs. I cannot imagine doing otherwise. I’m amazed this is abnormal.

Don't worry Username, it's not abnormal. Some people wear pants in bed, some don't. The poster who is easily shocked at the thought of someone doing this is obviously very easily shocked.

I don’t own any sleepwear, sleep naked and can’t remember the last time I wore knickers,

I'm surprised so many wear clothes in bed. I have always (well since my teens) slept naked.

I look at the people on the train with me this morning in a whole new way

I do, otherwise i have to change my pyjama bottoms all the time, but if i wear pants, i can get a few days out of them

I wear a cotton vest top and the knickers I’ve had on that day for bed, then they go in the wash basket each morning when I go in the shower. Rarely wear pyjamas, only if I am or have a house guest. Never have any issues with thrush and I’m not a naturally sweaty person.

Can’t really get too worked up if other people do it differently, although I do boggle a bit at the sheer amount of laundry some people must do. So long as I’m clean for interacting with other people through the day (so shower, clean underwear and clean top or dress each morning - trousers/jeans/skirts will get worn more than once) I don’t feel the need to have clean nightwear, bedding or towels every single day.

With my internal thermostat gone haywire, even knickers are too much clothing!

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I sleep naked, sometimes just in underwear. I have no consistent rules about sleepwear, I just go with whatever I feel like that night.

Seriously shocked about someone's choice of sleepwear? You must not go out much.

Yep, cotton knickers and nightdress. Would feel damp and mucky if not.

I put on a fresh pair of granny pants before bed. I get really uncomfortable and itchy for some reason if I try to sleep with no knickers

This thread is so illuminating. A family getting through twenty-one pairs of pjs each week, another poster changing knickers three times a day. Posters going on about having to feel ‘fresh’ or not wanting to feel ‘moist’. Bleurghhhhh at ‘bum germs’.

True, none of this affects me one jot as I’m not doing all the washing but I can’t help feeling that it just confirms that so many MN posters have serious (and ridiculous) hang ups about dirt and germs.
