Cheapest place to buy Quorn chicken nuggets

One of my dd’s is veggie , the rest of us are trying to eat less meat. I switched to Quorn Southern fried bites. They are £1.97 for 9 in morrisons, more than twice as expensive as the equivalent chicken would be.
Does anyone know where I can stock up cheaply?

Tesco's do a 3 for £5 offer on Quorn if that helps.

MyDcAreMarvel · 23/05/2019 18:16

Thanks namechangey that’s better value.

Ocado sometimes do 4 for £6.

The quorn southern style burgers are amazing!

Try Iceland.

I alternate between Ocado and Morrisons assumed they would be more expensive at Ocado , thanks.
Always forget about Iceland.
Do you need an account to use my supermarket?

ASDA do 4 for £6

ImpossibleNovelty · 23/05/2019 19:33

Does it have to be Quorn? Iceland do their own brand vegan (I think) nuggets that were goos value.

BarbaraofSevillle · 23/05/2019 19:34

I think the Asda 4 for £6 is the most reliably cheap source of quorn even though our local one never has the sausage patties, but you might also drop on them cheaper in discount frozen shops like Heron, Jack Fulton or similar, but their stock seems to vary, presumably depending on what they can buy cheaply themselves.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 23/05/2019 19:35

Aldi usually have them for £1.70 too. My family love the nuggets and southern fried burgers. We also really like the Quorn hotdogs.

NuffSaidSam · 23/05/2019 19:39

Morrisons often drop their veggie stuff down to £1, you just have to catch it when it's on offer and stock up!

MyDcAreMarvel · 23/05/2019 19:43

@ImpossibleNovelty are the Iceland own brand as nice?
I will need to venture into some actual supermarkets as I don’t think I would shop at Asda and Tesco’s seems expensive in general.
I thought vegetarian food was supposed to be cheaper than meat, but I guess I do need to shop around.
Thanks for the info.

Tesco also put offers on the southern fried bites (as well as others) every now and again where they're then only £1 for a week or two. I then stock up.

DevonshireDarling · 23/05/2019 19:50

Also veggie meals can be cheaper than meat but I find that's from cooking with veg, lentils, beans etc. the mince is also fairly cheap but the 'fast food' and meat alternative products like quorn don't tend to be cheaper. Which is good in a way as it means I tend to cook more proper veggie meals. But those southern fried bites are amazing aren't they Grin

freshasthebrightbluesky · 23/05/2019 20:05

Tesco own brand meat free chicken pieces are really nice and have a better texture than quorn in my opinion. Not sure on price though, sorry

bobstersmum · 23/05/2019 20:23

A bag of 24 in Iceland is £3.
