hi just some advice please i have used the clear blue (pink) ovulation test i had a smiley face on 16th and 17th of may i am due my period about 28th/29th may can i test early or should i wait for this date as its only been a week since i ovulated ? thank you

I would wait till your period is due. It can take 12-24 hours from LH surge to ovulation then 6-12 days from ovulation to implantation and then a couple more days to start producing hCG. Until you produce enough hCG to be detected in your urine tests will come back negative so it’s best to wait around 14 days post ovulation test being positive.

thankyou im really confused with this whole process my frist child i didnt try for but trying for this 2nd baby is proving difficult on ovulation calenders it says i was ovulating around 10th-11th of may i did do the strip tests and had 2 lines on each of these days 1 morning slightly darker but no ovulation signs but then on 15th i bought a clear blue test as felt i was ovulating done it 16th-17th both ays had a solid smiley face 18th had just a circle we had sex on 10th and 11th and also 16th and 17th do you think i have a high chance ?

You’ve as much chance as anyone has but Trac is such a rollercoaster journey I found it better to try and not look for symptoms or test too early - I would wait till my period was due (and we were trying for 4 years before eventually getting our bfp on our second cycle of IVF!!)
