I need to walk from Euston Square tube station to London Euston overground. I understand it’s around a 5 minute walk but can anyone explain a bit further where exactly I need to go please? Which exit out etc? My timings are quite tight so I want to be as organised as possible.

Follow the signs.

Aurorie11 · 23/05/2019 13:01

It should just be up the stairs turn left and Euston station is just further down on the left

Intothe · 23/05/2019 13:02

Follow the signs for the overground. You don't need to leave the building as far as I know.

MisfitsMous · 23/05/2019 13:02

Its just outside the front door iirc! Just follow signs/ask.

Lizsmum · 23/05/2019 13:06

Come out of Euston Square. Turn right and walk along (away from the very obvious hospital building), past the Wellcome Institute, cross the road and you're there.

Featherstep · 23/05/2019 13:14

Yes Lizsmum is correct.
Euston Square is across a main road from Euston rail/ Tube station.
Not the same building.
5 mins walk about right, but you need to walk fast if you have luggage/ travel at rush hour/ need to wait for the lights,

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 23/05/2019 13:16

Ah thank you! I was beginning to get confused with so many different answers. It will be early Sunday morning so not too busy but equally there might not be too many people around to ask. Thanks!

Euston Square has exits on both sides of the Euston Rd, so whether to turn left or right will depend on which exit you come out of. You want the north side for Euston Station. It’s a 5-7 min walk depending on your speed and the number of pedestrians milking about.

Intothe · 23/05/2019 13:31

I think I was getting confused with Kings Cross

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 23/05/2019 13:33

Ok great, north side exit.... walk away from the UCL.... walk past the Wellcome Institute....walk quickly!

I think you'll be able to spot which way you need to go without too much difficulty; there may well be signs indicating it. So don't panic too much about getting the right exit, just get out one of them, look around and set off. I used to do that walk regularly for the 6 months I worked in London before my eldest was born - quite a lot of years ago now! As London tube/train transfers go, it's easier than several where you stay underground, I think.

DecomposingComposers · 23/05/2019 13:35

Go through ticket barriers and turn right, that puts you on the same side of the road as Euston station. If you use the wrong exit you can easily cross the road by walking past the hospital up to the junction and cross there (a 2 minute walk). There are always staff at the ticket barriers though to point you in right direction.

Super! I love the faith you all have that I’ll find it easy enough. Grin I’m so stressed by this whole journey (this is a small bit of a 5 hour, 3 change train journey).

You'll be fine. Once you get there you'll see how easy it is.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 23/05/2019 15:13

It's dead easy. You can't miss Euston, there's signs everywhere and a big bus depot at the front.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 23/05/2019 19:57

Thanks for all your help, much appreciated!
