Bleeding after sex

Do I see a GP or should I get a smear test done first? Can't actually remember when I last had a smear but has to be 2 years as I have a 1 year old. It's been happening for a few months now but this time I'm still bleeding (albeit spotting) 3 days later Confused

I'd definitely get checked out any changes down there are best to be seen to imo

See your GP ASAP for a colposcopy (looking at your cervix close-up) referral. It’s most likely due to a cervical ectropian making your cervix more prone to bleeding, but you need to rule out anything more serious. Please do not delay. A smear is not diagnostic, it’s a screening procedure. A colposcopy exam is not painful, just might be a bit uncomfortable.
Please do not ignore this.

Thanks *faded. I went to the GP about this after my first baby too but they didn't refer me as I was breastfeeding and so they said it is hormonal. Not breastfeeding now though...

I second others, best to go and see your GP asap.

Same happened to me...had a colposcopy and all was good. Worth getting checked out and nothing to worry about until you get a reason for what's happening. I had blood cells very close to the surface and 'abbrasion' caused the issues.
