I need to cook something soft for dinner, and my mind has gone blank!!
Can anyone hit me with some soft (but palatable) dinner recommendations?
Thank you!

Scrambled egg or jacket potato and cheese.

I thought soup but it’s been so warm today. I also thought chilli and rice.
I’m not sure scrambled eggs would satisfy his appetite! Grin

Mash. And cauliflower cheese. Yum.

Not rice - painful if it goes in the hole

NorthernRunner · 22/05/2019 19:00

Lois- oh I didn’t think of that!

I’m doing Mash, cauliflower cheese, veggie sausages (figures they are easier to eat than meat alternative) and maybe kale or peas...

Yoghurt when I had one out recently Grin
DH wolfed down a pizza after his... To make himself feel better apparently Hmm

BogglesGoggles · 22/05/2019 19:23

I think it depends. I didn’t eat anything that didn’t come through a straw after my tooth extraction (but I did have fourrovrd at once)

StarlightLady · 22/05/2019 19:23

Mash and a poached egg on top.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 22/05/2019 19:25

Soup! His poor jaw might be hard to open and the space or stitches will be sore.

(Although after saying that I had my wisdom teeth out under general and was eating salt and vinegar crisps when I got out of hospital).

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 22/05/2019 19:25

Oh I just saw your menu. When shall you expect me over 😋

applesarerroundandshiny · 22/05/2019 19:34

I normally have cheesy potato pie - mainly just mash potato and cheese. That's my favourite food anyway - and yes I've had a lot of teeth out Sad

NorthernRunner · 22/05/2019 21:12

He ate it all up (as did I, bloody love cauliflower cheese)
He struggled with kale a little bit and we didn’t have peas so I over boiled carrots for him.
He is feeling rather sorry for himself so I may make him bananas and custard.
Thank you for all your suggestions!

Ooo I love cheese and potato pie, can’t believe I didn’t think of that before!

Maybe we will have that tomorrow, we will be surviving on variations of cheese and spuds 😍
