A sandpit you can sit in with a lid (that doesn't leak) please

After years of sand/water table play things, I think the Dc would now like to sit in the sand and play. So I am looking for a sturdy ppne that can go on the grass (with a membrane underneath, I assume) and which can be covered at night so that it is protected from rain, foxes etc. Any recommendations please? The TP one isn't getting good reviews on the basis of lack of sturdiness and leaks.

We had this Little Tikes one turtle but not sure how big your DCs are.

I made one year ago ..
Buy 6 sleepers. Cut 2 in half .
Use two bits on each side.

Line with two lots of the membrane you put under the pebbles. Fill with sand...
Maybe be was about 6 foot by 3 foot. Everyone loved it
I just got a blue tarp from BQ and used to peg it down at night like a ground sheet

DS is 7yo, Seeline. That said, he would probably be the only one sitting in it, and it looks big enough for just him. Thanks!

mummy That does sound quite easy!

I used to put the sandpit inside a play tent. Zip it up, waterproof and cat free. Other point was that we live in the SE, very sunny garden, so inside a tent was shaded too.
