I'm looking at changing jobs. Reception or admin type of jobs.
I did business admin courses years ago (Office 2007) but obviously time has moved on.jobs

What is the most used Office now? I'm looking to buy it and update myself before I start applying for jobs

Most of the companies I work with now use Office 365, but they tend to be smaller companies.

We don't use office at all, we use the google equivalent. Took some getting used to!

ArgyMargy · 22/05/2019 13:22

@Rollerbird you may be thinking of Windows rather than Office?

Get Office 365 - you can do a monthly subscription that you can cancel anytime - if you just want to use it for a few weeks to brush up, rather than having to pay full price for it.

RezCowgirl · 22/05/2019 14:12

If you were pretty competent on it before, I don't think you'll need to bother.

It hasn't changed that much and you can Google anything you don't know. "How do I split a table in Word 365?"

IWouldPreferNotTo · 22/05/2019 18:56

Office 365 is definitely the way to go.

While not a huge amount has changed the keyword searching on CVs will be looking for Office 2016 & Office 365.

It's also worth acquainting yourself with SharePoint as the days of a shared drive of documents is dead in well managed companies and while SharePoint is definitely not the best option a lot of firms are using it.

bliminy · 22/05/2019 19:02

Oh yes, definitely learn a bit about Sharepoint - probably worth just watching some YouTube videos about Microsoft Teams too.
