Moving away from small village location?

Living in a pretty little village, DC in nice small school, beautiful surroundings, good-sized house, lots of space for the money. We are BORED! Lived here for 3 years and don't have any friends, village is quite cliquey and most of the people here have lived here all their lives and don't really welcome "outsiders". Would you move? Is this something you've already done and how did it go? It would mean both myself and DH finding new jobs in a new area.... it all seems such a lot to go through and who knows of it will be better. We'd probably have to have a smaller house but would more shops, amenities, an actual life. We are so bored, there's literally nothing to do here. We have no ties except school, house and jobs. WWYD?

I would move. Start looking for jobs tonight!

I think it's a no brained really.

You're unhappy where you are and it sounds like that's not going to change, under the circumstances.

We're actually planning to move to a small village and I have to say, I worry about the whole cliquey thing.

Why is it nearly impossible to buy freehold flats in Berkshire?
