I'm taking my granddaughter and a but confused about the ticketing.

On booking they said tickets will be forwarded nearer the time; then there was an email saying tickets would be via smart phone only which you had to produce on the night and you had to download an app; now just had an email saying tickets will be issued by five days before the event. I get the smartphone idea to stop touts, etc.

Have I got this right, is it now physical tickets?

Who have you bought the tickets from, is it from a direct ticketing agent (ticketmaster, live nation or the o2 themselves) or a reseller (like getmein, stubhub or via gogo etc).

Best place to ask is the helpline of where you bought - sorry if this sounds obvious.

I'll check with DH what he's heard - we're taking our two DD. What a wonderful grandmother you are!

Hi, I’m also going to see Ariana Grande at the o2 with my dd we booked with ticket master and our tickets are on our phone so no hard copies like we were issued last time with ticket master.

I would ask who you brought the tickets through for clarification, hope you enjoy the concert my dd is so excited and can’t wait, it was sadly cancelled when were due to go last time.

Westfacing · 22/05/2019 17:31

I bought through Ticketmaster.

mbosnz it was her Xmas present. We have seats up in the gods, although they cost a small fortune - she's 10 and too young for the mosh pit, and I'm too old!

OP I realise you probably asked here in the first place because you can't face phoning Ticketmaster

but even I would grit my teeth and call up in the situation! Hope you both enjoy it.

Westfacing · 22/05/2019 18:36

Rosa yes, something like that! The email is a 'don't reply' type - I will call them.

DGD is really excited - she's a bit of a seasoned concert and festival goer ... as I was in my day Smile

Tickets arrived yesterday. Smile

They were a mere £128 each so wasn't expecting a great view but a bit alarmed at 'Limited view' - I'm assuming there'll be giant screens!

£128 each?!
Holy mother of god. I know its the price of these things now, but by golly that's an eye watering sum.
None of mine have asked to go to a concert yet, I better get saving,Grin.
Have a great time OP.

Thank you Eleanor I'm sure we will. Glitterball

You just wait, your time will come! Grin

Well the show was great, quite a spectacle, and the seats were very good - supposedly 'limited view'. We were to the side but close to the huge stage and there was a u-shaped runway on which Ariana tottered around in those stacked thigh-high boots!

I had been a bit worried about how the Tube journey home would be - pleased to report it works like clockwork in spite of 20,000 or so heading there at the same time. All well marshalled and controlled.

All in all a lovely experience - home at midnight and granddaughter is still fast asleep!
