Free things to do in York

We’re going to York for a long weekend soon however, since booking it our finances have changed and we’re on a strict budget. The room’s paid for so we’ll still go but can anyone suggest anything good that’s free. One DS 11.

Walk the city wall.

Rowntree Park

The York lucky cat trail is a really fun way to explore the city whilst finding hidden statues of cats! We had great fun doing this. You can pick up a leaflet with the clues from the lucky cat shop.

There is quite often street entertainment stuff going in in Picadilly in the town centre on school holidays.

Also - have a look at The Shambles, it was the inspiration for Diagon Alley.
