New job and pregnant

Hi,

I’m starting a new job on 3rd June which I am so excited for however I have just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant. Also delighted about the pregnancy as I have a 6 year old dd but have had miscarriages since.
I was just wondering do you know if I will get maternity pay?

You won’t qualify for statutory maternity pay. You may be able to claim Maternity Allowance.

Yes, I started a new job pregnant. I got maternity allowance which is the same amount (roughly) as SMP
