Does a bee hotel get reused?

My bee hotel was full last year but I'm wondering if they will re use this year or if I need to clean it out first?

You need to replace the sticks - you just need to pull the used ones out (might require a bit of tugging) and replace with chopped up short sections of bamboo cane (the sort most people use for staking plants)
