Can anyone let me know what the sizing is like please?

About to order some summer bits online. DS is a v skinny almost 7 yr old, so might order 6yrs. He wears 6-8 H&M and XS in Gap.

Thanks!

I find it small, but then my kids are bigger than average. For instance, I had to buy my 9 year old age 12 swimming trunks. I also find it skinny cut, which is probably good for your son.

Te baby stuff comes up smaller than asda etc. More like M&S sizing

Fraggle84 · 21/05/2019 10:35

I find it wide fitting especially for boys

The girls ranges come up slimmer

Very wide. Similar to M&S as a previous poster says, which also tends to be generous. It is much more loosely cut than H&M.

Andonandonan · 21/05/2019 11:54

Yes I agree it’s wide.

But average length.

Also be aware that eg age 6 means 5-6, not 6-7.

icelollycraving · 21/05/2019 11:59

I find it true to size for all their clothes.

My 6yo is still wearing the 4yo polo shirts I bought her when she started school. Mostly she is in age 6 stuff though. Her not quite 8yo sister is in 9/10 for length on leggings, tights and dresses.

Also they have a height size as well as an age which is useful.

Wonderful thanks all!

I size up for fitted things for mine but not for stretchy stuff so my 3 year old ds is still in 2-3 t shirts, pjs and swimming trunks from there but his shirts and jeans are the size up. He is average size.

My dm recently bought my dd a gorgeous dress from there. It's fitted. Dd is 4.5 and I got an age 5. She hasn't tried it on yet and I was saving it. Think I should try it before she grows out of it.

BlueMerchant · 21/05/2019 12:17

If he's 6 (nearly 7)and slim I'd get the 6. The 7 will be huge.
DS 9 is on the larger side and usually gets age 11/12 in other shops. In Sainsburys the age 10 on him is perfect.

Just be aware, there may be the 25% off on next week as it's half term

EmpressJewel · 21/05/2019 18:26

I was about to add the same about the 25% off. They usually coincide with half terms/bank holidays. They start on Tuesday, so it's worth waiting until next week.

StellaRae · 22/05/2019 09:41

Oh good tip re 25% off! Will keep a look out - thanks.
