What’s your appetite eating out?

Do you tend to eat more or less when you eat out compared to eating at home?

I always seem to order more than I can eat, but when I order I don’t feel greedy..

It just seems to fill me up more eating out.

Eg, lunch today I had a tuna bagette and salad. Normal meal for me at home, but I couldn’t finish it..

Probably order and eat more when eating out, mainly because you're sitting at the table longer, I guess.

Anyone else?

I hate wasting food. I'd under-order and put up with feeling hungry later rather than risk that.

With DC I'd often order a starter for my main, let them order what they think they want, then I finish off the food they would have wasted.

My parents eat out most meals when we visit (yes, even breakfast). They waste huge amounts of food. Plus it's all so salty & rich. I end up ordering small portions. That's most of my eating out experiences, actually. And there's always food to finish off at home, so I finish that off instead of having it go to waste.

On holiday with any family members, if we're eating out often, I'm stressed out about organising everything which also kills appetite. Going on hols I associate with tending to lose weight.
