I have no doubt that if people said children shouldn't be taught about Islam in school RE lessons, the same protestors would be crying Islamophobia. Yet when it's children being told that there are non-cis/het people out there and that's OK, they're crying foul over that too.
"Treat others how you would like to be treated" doesn't seem to be in this lot's worldview, and nor does "live and let live" or "when in Rome"
I feel most sorry for the children who already have an inkling they're LGBTQ and are now seeing so many in their community talking about it in such negative terms.
