Please tune in or watch catch up on BBC panorama re Scottish salmon farms, it's horrendous , sea lice , disease ridden, it's a nation disgrace and a national secret....why are they still allowed to get away with it .
Please boycott Scottish salmon

If they didn't want to be eaten and farmed, they shouldn't be so delicious. Also much better to have food with lower air miles that buying Alaskan salmon etc

Fine if you want to eat diseased, lice ridden (700 plus counted on one fish) and deformed creatures then you go ahead , if it was sheep or cows you could actually see in a field I wonder how you'd feel then. Also the environmental impact of the waste products and chemical treatments they're using on the fish and the damage being done to other marine life I think you'll actually find outweighs air miles. Don't get me wrong I too love to eat salmon, however not Scottish until they clean their act up

@StylishMummy. You have encapsulated in one post why this planet is dying. Well done.

Not at all stylish, I rarely buy foods that include air miles I'm extremely aware of the planet, my response was purely to flippant comment about they shouldn't taste so delicious, it didn't appear you cared at all about either the salmon welfare or the environmental impact salmon farming is having in our seas. There's plenty of wild salmon around that's caught in our own waters here n the uk, d far sooner eat that than a salmon that's being eaten alive by lice and is so intensively produced, but as its under water is not seen., so out of sight out of mind applies.
I suppose you and I are never going to agree on this , shame really because we both obviously care about the planet but come at it from different aspects
