No more 'unexpected item in bagging area' from the lady voice on the self service checkouts. It's been replaced by something 10 x more annoying. Ant and bloody Dec ! In Marks and Spencer !

I never hear the voice because I mute them all. It's a far more enjoyable experience.

It's Elvis in Poundland!

Each shop is different. But somewhere on each screen is a volume icon. Some are sliders, some you tap to make it louder and louder then the next setting after loudest is mute.

Tesco are tricksy because once you've muted it it says Go Back on screen and it looks like that's the only option but if you ignore it and start scanning it's fine. If you chosse Go Back it unmutes it.

You can't mute Boots, the Post Office or Waitrose. This annoys me immensely.
