Downloading/renting films query

I’m thinking about downloading/renting some cheap films to watch on my iPad when we go away for our cottage holiday. There is no WiFi where we are going. Will I be able to watch films that I have rented or would I need to buy them - or would I not be able to watch them full stop?

Netflix and Amazon Prime Video both let me download movies and TV shows for later viewing. Not everything is available but most are. The downloads expire after a time, so do it right before you leave.

Thanks, will definitely look into that.

Netflix yes but I downloaded some films and then couldn’t watch them without WiFi. What we ended up doing was going to an Internet cafe and downloading shows that day so we could watch at the house (no WiFi) later.
