Is there anything educational on Netflix?

DC home ill. She's watching some nonsense which is far too young for her. At the risk of sounding like my parents, is there anything vaguely educational rather than my little pony? Age range 7-10.

Planet Earth, Ask The Story Bots, Brainchild

I think Kevin Hart's Black History thing might be ok - you might want to read reviews online to check that it's not for older kids though.

Lots of Attenborough

If she can keep up with subtitles Street Food is a fascinating insight to other countries’ food culture, people’s lives and there’s usually a smattering of social history or real history touched on too.

boatyardblues · 20/05/2019 19:59

So far we’ve watched Ho Chi Minh City, Seoul and half of Malaysia and there was nothing dodgy.

DS2 is 11 and loves it.

The magic school bus gives the appearance of being unchallenging, but is actually rammed with science!

Castles, two seasons (I think 6 episodes each) of a variety of British castles. Quite low key and entertaining.

I haven't watched it myself but heard good things about the Our Planet series.

Walking with dinosaurs is a favourite in this house

Yes to Brain Child. 9 year old DD and I enjoy watching it together and her teacher sometimes uses it in class too (International school)

Just reviving this thread. We’ve been watching ‘Anne with an E’ with DD9 and the whole family is enjoying it.
