It was definitely a one off occasion and he's always claimed to be shy with woman/not been with many woman etc. He is saying he thinks it was attention seeking as a cry for help as he has been struggling with depression and feeling lonely which I admit I'm also at fault as we have quite busy lives so not always spending time together and I like some space after a long day.
We have been together a while and have children together so I don't want to just throw it all away but equally I don't want to fall for it as he could just be saying it as he's been caught.
